Observations from (arguably) the World's Smartest Dogs;
(but, without question, the bestest friends!)
or, Life As We Understand It, as told from dad's shop.

Thirsty Thursday! (vol. 2)

A Compilation

This second "Thirsty Thursday" article is a little "rougher" than our usual fare ... sorry about that!

Thirsty Thursday came about with dad long before "popular" culture and restaurants got hold of it!  You see ... long before any of us Bupps came around (and before he was even on this place) dad and Donald used to celebrate TT every ... well - pretty much every Thursday!  Neither of them generally had to work at their "official" jobs on Fridays ... pretty sweet deal???  Right??!!!

So, Thursday was a day for celebrating (or bitching and moaning - depending on the week that each of them had!)  When they first started, it was on Donald's patio, dad's patio, or in dad's garage.  After we moved out here and built the shop - it was almost always in the shop, or behind it (before there was a lean to and they were in the pasture letting H and mom-R run!  Then, before they knew it ... other folks were joining in ... that was cool!  The more the merrier right!  The only rule was that if anyone started being a jerk - they had to go (but we mostly let Dale stay).  After Donald died, TT's kept on for a year or so, then slowed down, and now it has pretty much stopped around this place.  See Long Time, No See for more info on this!

It's hasn't been easy ... but dad has kept up his end of the deal each and every Thursday evening!!!

Anyway, we've been collecting cartoons from the ol' www and SpaceBook and since we haven't been real sure how to "unleash" them on our audience ... we came up with re-vamping the TT idea!  Hey ... it's just whatever we had laying around that we wanted to get rid of!!!

Hope you enjoy (or at least tolerate)!!!

Some (other) Things To Think On ...

If you are not allowed to laugh in heaven, I do not want to go there.

Martin Luther

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Steve Jobs

As long as you derive inner help and comfort from anything, keep it.

Mahatma Gandhi

I don't want anyone as president who promises to take care of me.  I may be stupid, but I want a chance to try to be a grown-up and take care of my family.

Penn Jillette

Determine to live life with flair and laughter.

Maya Angelou

Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty.
